The truth for Tian An Men Incident is that, CCP originally did not want to fire at the crowd – in fact, such a undying protest by the students had not exactly happened before for that generation of chinese leaders and that the fact that normal people started to join the protest made it untenable.

However, the entire protest until its crackdown was 1.5 months long, involving not just "occupy tian an men", but also 400 cities China wide. Involving MILLIONS of people.

Deng Xiaoping made the "hard decision" to "crack down at all cost" which leds to the massacre (see 2nd photo for real "funny thing" mention by this particular Mr Andy which pretty much do purely pro-china content.

Beijing alone, 300,000 troops are deployed.

People died. Alot (wide estimates; true number unknown). Soldiers died too by the way. But the reality is: You do not destroy a "takeover" like Seattle's CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) but easily 1000x bigger, OVERNIGHT.

CCP in a way, had no choice, because if there is no crackdown, they will be either overthrown or the country will eventually reform into a democracy (of sort) – losing their grip on power.

All CCP members pro-democracy / liberal-leaning / supporter of the protests are purged/eliminated. Foreign media is curbed. Political liberalisation (which would probably lead to some form of democracy) is effectively no more.

Its one thing to be "pro-china" – its another thing to be chinese propaganda. China still did many good despite shortcomings; but don't change history.
