I think China brought in Ethiopia, Brazil brought in Argentina, Russia brought in Iran, S.Africa maybe chose Egypt, and India brought in UAE.

Saudi Arabia is a brainless choice which probably everyone agree is needed to make BRICS more powerful as the leader of OPEC

And for those curious: Indonesia did not apply, so it cant be invited. Nigeria is on the verge of fighting for France in Niger… so I doubt they would be invited in for now.
