Honestly, if you look at the frontline, you dont need those SPGs (Self Propelled Guns) at Kupyansk – the frontline did not move by much – which means, SPGs wont made much difference than stationary guns.

Thats for sure not the reason for the lack of advance.

Similarly for "lack of shells" – I cant possibly imagine Ukraine actually have more shells and rockets to do theirs both Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhia Fronts. So thats also probably inaccurate reason.

I gonna standby my point, there is no NEED for Russia to advance forward or do major offensives – the only offensives done are just for local tactical improvement purposes – and assaults just to eliminate Ukrainian forwards positions to then dare them to refill those position again.

Strategically, Russia gains nothing by going on the offensive – as "exciting" as an offensive may sound.
